Icy cold today in Nederland
Today it's beyond cold. The wind is fast and below 0 outside just now. We're talking serious wind chill factor here. So, I opened at 1:00 because it was to cold to get a hair cut and I didn't have any body to cut. I did a cut last week on my client Cookie and it was about 12 inches shorter. And she really wanted it shorter then I had time to do. Last week was slamming busy. I did a re-cut on her this afternoon that I am so proud of. I wish I could have photographed it but I don't have a digital camera yet. My mom is getting me on for my birthday. So, soon there will be even more for me to show and tell. I've been getting some wonderful ideas for cuts watching T.V. That new Miss America pageant show on TLC is so interesting. Last episode the ladies got to have make overs and the styles were short on some girls and so sassy. Choppy and angled that's how I cut Cookie's hair today. It will blow really well in the high winds of Nederland. Stay warm.

Nederland's little beauty shop in the snow
Yes, there's still snow on the ground. Only about an inch and a half this morning. The shop is really picking up at the begining of this new year. It's so nice to be meeting some new people in town and seeing the clients who have already been getting their hair done at Mountian Rose Hair Care.

Nederland's only full service salon
Mountain Rose Hair Care wasn't very busy today 1/4/08. Only 3 customers, Tamara, Jay and Karam. 3 very interesting people. Had nice lunch with Marcee at the Pioneer Inn. My birthday is tomorrow and my Dad called me today it was nice to talk to him, it's been to long. The weather is changing, the wind picked up and the news says there's a big storm coming this way. Suppose to be in the mountains I guess we are sorta the mountains, mostly foothills I think. Wait and see is what this hairdresser thinks. It's going to be a prosperous new year I feel it in my being.
